“...post-nature industrial, transparent layers of coloured light, Frank Lloyd Wright through the back door” says eco-artist Vanessa Pandos, describing the work she creates at her studio, situated in Hillier wine country. Using time-honoured stained glass techniques, Vanessa incorporates recycled and antique glass, found objects and wine accoutrement into contemporary glass panels and three dimensional sculptures. Her focus on the unique relationship between glass and light gives her work an airy dynamic feel. “What draws me to glass is the medium’s interaction with light, and my interaction with glass is an ongoing exploration of the tangibility of light.” Open year-round.
