J.D. Thompson Fine Paintings
Wilson Road is a County speedway. Please slow down and drop into our Studio and Gallery. They are separate spaces from our house living area. We welcome you to experience Doug’s acrylic paintings, depicting various atmospherics caused by light interacting with water in all its forms. Whether found in grand cumulous clouds, fog drifting up on a lake in early morning, waterfalls, crashing waves or its many other permutations, he is moved to try to capture these events of wonder. His paintings are also personal metaphoric expressions of light-filled hope in juxtaposition to the challenges of life.

We express gratitude to all the First Nation, Métis and Inuit who havebeen traditional and contemporary stewards of this land we call Canada.
We acknowledge that we work, live, meet and create on the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg, Wendat and Haudenosaunee Peoples and adjacent to the Kanien’keha:ka (Mohawk) community of Tyendinaga.
We thank all the generations of Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island who have taken care of this land for thousands of years.
Thank you, Niá:wen.
